While at Penn State, my oil painting teacher recommended CCA as a top art
school to further my art studies. I enjoyed my classes at CCA, especially
the drawing, painting, and art history classes. It was at CCA that I first
played bass in a band. I was working during the day in graphic design, and my
resume includes designing symbol libraries, computer graphics, technical
illustrations, and working at Richard Saul Worman’s company creating the first
graphic/books printed by the computer. At night my bass playing took off and I was gigging 6-7 nights a week. Playing music in the Bay Area was great, and it was
easy to play with many great and famous people all the time. My last gig I
played in the Bay Area was a steady gig at the Four Seasons in San Francisco,
and I got to play with many notable musicians there, i.e., Narada Michael
Walden (produced Whitney Houston’s hit album, etc.) I painted after my gigs to
unwind, in the studio between takes or during mixes, and focusing a few blessed
weeks between tours. With my art, mainly the watercolor medium, I have been
juried into several shows, and I have had solo shows. Recently, since my
mother’s untimely passing, I have been focusing more on my art.

Thanks for supporting my art.
